MARC FRIED

MANAGING PRINCIPAL

Marc expertly leverages his skills as a J.D./C.P.A. by locating, negotiating, underwriting and completing the necessary due diligence for the company’s acquisitions. Prior to founding River Rock Capital, Marc worked for Deloitte & Touche, serving some of the country’s largest real estate clients, both public and private. At Deloitte, Marc learned about real estate acquisitions, operations, and asset re-positioning to maximize value. After leaving Deloitte, he worked for the Paramount Group, a private REIT, during its IPO. Additionally, over the past four years Marc was the Director of Acquisitions and Development for his family real estate office. During his tenure, the Fried Family office acquired, managed, and re-positioned property in the NYC metro area as well as South Florida. Marc was responsible for vetting deals, as well as hiring and overseeing the management teams for the various properties. Marc earned his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham Law School and is a Certified Public Accountant.

MITCHELL D. HAMMER

MANAGING PRINCIPAL

Mitchell has worked on over $6 billion of real estate transactions, spanning various aspects of real estate including investment analysis and underwriting, development, brokerage, asset management and loan sizing. Prior to co-founding River Rock Capital, Mitchell was the Director of Real Estate at Old City Investment Partners, where his focus was on sourcing new acquisitions, creating joint venture structures for development opportunities, as well as asset management of the company’s real estate holdings. Before Old City, he worked for Cushman & Wakefield (formerly Massey Knakal Realty Services) as a senior analyst for one of the partners of the firm. Mitchell also worked for Vornado Realty Trust as an MBA Research Fellow, as well as Meridian Capital Group. Mitchell earned an MBA, with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance, from Baruch Zicklin School of Business.

MANAGING PRINCIPAL

Baruch has been successfully investing across multiple asset classes and geographies for over 35 years. His extensive investment experience has allowed him to help launch several vertically integrated, global operating businesses. Baruch joined River Rock Capital in 2017, bringing along his keen real estate knowledge utilized in his prior role as CIO of Glaubach Realty. Historically, the Family was an active real estate investor in both value-add and ground up development within gateway cities across the United States. Notable investments include 111 Eight Avenue – the “Google Building” and 475 Park Avenue. Mr. Glaubach is a graduate of Yeshiva University and is an active philanthropist.He currently sits on the board of HAFTR, and Jewish Opportunities Institute.
